  • 8 slices deli turkey slices preferably thin and flexible
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded or sliced
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened for easy spreading
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs parsley or thyme, chopped
  • Optional nuts, cranberries, or sliced pickles for added crunch or tang
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing before baking

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and gather all your ingredients.
  2. Lay out the turkey slices on a clean surface, keeping them flat and slightly overlapped if needed.
  3. Spread a thin layer of softened cream cheese over each turkey slice, covering most of the surface but leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. Sprinkle chopped herbs evenly over the cream cheese, then layer slices of cheese and any optional extras like nuts or cranberries for added flavor and texture.

  5. Starting from one end, carefully roll up each turkey slice tightly, making sure the filling stays inside. Use toothpicks to secure if necessary.
  6. Place the rolled-up turkey slices seam-side down in a baking dish lined with parchment or lightly greased.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls lightly with olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy in the oven.
