Ingredients

  • 1 liter ml chilled Coke Make sure it's cold before starting

Equipment

  • Measuring cup
  • Freezer-safe container
  • Fork or Spoon
  • Stirring Stick or Small Spoon

Method

  1. Pour the cold Coke into a large, freezer-safe container, filling it up almost to the top.
  2. Place the container in the freezer uncovered or loosely covered with plastic wrap, and set a timer for 45 minutes.
  3. Once the timer goes off, use a fork or stirring stick to vigorously scrape and stir the semi-frozen mixture, breaking up any ice crystals and mixing the slush evenly.
  4. Return the container to the freezer and repeat the stirring every 30 minutes for the next 1 to 2 hours, until the mixture is thick, icy, and slushy with a chewy texture.
  5. Check the mixture; it should feel cold, slightly firm, and have a snow-like consistency with tiny bubbles and a glossy surface.
  6. Serve the icy Coke in chilled glasses, letting each spoonful reveal a fizzy, icy crunch that melts pleasantly in your mouth.

Notes

To prevent ice crystals from becoming too large, make sure to stir thoroughly each time. If the mixture becomes too firm, splash in a small splash of warm soda to soften it slightly before serving.
