Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness and cut into 4 equal rounds or rectangles.
Place the dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes until they start to turn golden around the edges. This helps the crust firm up before adding toppings.
Remove the partially baked crusts from the oven and evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over each. Cover the surface but avoid the edges to keep the crust crispy.
Return the crusts to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on them so the cheese doesn’t burn.
Once out of the oven, start decorating the pizzas by arranging pepperoni slices in long strips across each to resemble mummification wrappings. Overlap pieces slightly to create a layered 'bandage' effect.
Cut small segments of black olives or small cheese balls and place them on each pizza as eyes, positioning them in the center of the 'mummy.' Press gently to adhere to the melted cheese.
Put the decorated pizzas back into the oven for 2-3 minutes if needed, just to slightly rewarm and set the toppings. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
Remove the pizzas from the oven, let them cool for a minute, then serve warm. The crispy pepperoni 'wrappings' and gooey cheese make a fun, spooky presentation perfect for Halloween gatherings.
