Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles, then gently flatten each with your hands to ensure even wrapping.
- Wrap each hot dog completely in a crescent triangle, starting from one end and overlapping slightly to cover the whole sausage. Ensure the dough is snug but not tight.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- If desired, brush the dough lightly with beaten egg to give a shiny, golden finish after baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed, golden, and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly; then serve warm, with playful ‘bandage’ strips of dough resembling mummies.
Notes
Feel free to add small dollops of mustard or ketchup as ‘face’ decorations once served.
