Coffee Slushie

A coffee slushie combines brewed coffee with ice and sweeteners, blended into a frozen, icy drink. The result is a refreshing beverage with a smooth, granular texture and a rich coffee flavor that is ideal for hot days. Its appearance is a frosty, creamy blend served in a glass, with tiny ice shards visible throughout.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup ice cubes adjust for desired thickness
  • 2 tablespoons sweetener (sugar, honey, or syrup) adjust to taste

Equipment

  • Coffee maker
  • Blender

Method

  1. Pour the cooled brewed coffee into the blender.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, distributing them evenly over the coffee.
  3. Pour in the sweetener, starting with two tablespoons and adding more if desired.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slushy, with tiny ice shards visible.
  5. Stop the blender and check the consistency—if it’s too thick, add a splash of additional coffee and blend briefly again.
  6. Pour the icy coffee slushie into glasses, using a spoon to evenly distribute the mixture.
  7. Garnish with a coffee bean or a sprig of mint if desired for a decorative touch.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw or a small spoon for a refreshing, icy treat.
