  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes more for thicker consistency
  • 1/2 cup water optional, to thin out

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Place the cherries, sweetener, ice cubes, and water into the blender.
2 cups pitted cherries, 2 tablespoons honey or sugar, 1 cup ice cubes, 1/2 cup water
  2. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and ice is finely crushed, about 30-60 seconds. You should see a vibrant red, slushy texture with no large ice chunks.
  3. Stop the blender and check the consistency; add more ice if you'd like it thicker, then blend again briefly.
  4. Pour the cherry slushie into glasses, revealing an icy, ruby-red drink with a frosty surface.
  5. Garnish with a fresh cherry or a sprig of mint if desired for a pretty presentation.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy the refreshing, icy burst of cherry flavor.
