Method
- Measure out two cups of frozen cherries and add them to your blender.
- Squeeze fresh citrus juice into the blender, about one cup, to add a bright, tangy flavor that complements the sweetness of the cherries.
- Drizzle in two tablespoons of honey or your preferred sweetener to enhance the flavor and help balance the tartness.
- Secure the lid on the blender and pulse several times to break up the cherries, then blend on high until the mixture is smooth, thick, and slushy, about 30-45 seconds.
- Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash more citrus juice and blend briefly to loosen it. If it's too thin, add a few more frozen cherries and blend again.
- Pour the cherry slushie into glasses, and if desired, garnish with a fresh cherry or a citrus slice for visual appeal.
Notes
For an extra flavor twist, add fresh mint or a splash of sparkling water before serving.
