Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries preferably unsweetened and ripe
  • 1 cup fresh citrus juice lemon or lime juice works well
  • 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda for fizz and sweetness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cup
  • Glassware

Method

  1. Measure out the frozen blueberries and add them to your blender.
  2. Pour in the citrus juice, which will add brightness and help break down the berries.
  3. Seal the blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth, vibrant, and icy, about 30-45 seconds.
  4. Slowly pour in the club soda or lemon-lime soda to add fizz, mixing gently to preserve the bubbles.
  5. Gently stir the mixture to combine the soda evenly without losing too much fizz.
  6. Pour the blueberry slushie into chilled glasses, allowing the icy, vibrant mixture to flow smoothly.
  7. Optionally, garnish with a fresh blueberry or a slice of citrus for an inviting presentation.

Notes

For a thicker texture, use more frozen blueberries. For more sweetness, add a splash of flavored soda or a drizzle of honey before blending.
